Marshall Davis, M.D.

Dr. Marshall Davis joined Valley Radiotherapy Associates Medical Group in 2001 and is a board certified Radiation Oncologist. Dr. Davis is the Medical Director at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado.  He was the former Director of Radiation Oncology for the Little Company of Mary Hospital Cancer Center in Torrance, California and was also the director of Radiosurgery at the Newport Diagnostic Center in Newport Beach, California.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and received his Medical Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical School.  He interned at Denver Presbyterian Medical Center and completed his Radiation Oncology residency at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center under the direction of Doctors Steven Leibel and David Larson.

Dr. Davis has been previously involved in the development of the CyberKnife®, a robotic stereotactic radiation delivery system.  The first Beta test site, located at Newport Diagnostic Center undertook initial phase I (feasibility) data collection treating intracranial targets.  Dr. Davis later served as principal investigator for their Institutional Review Board and was involved in developing/implementing investigational protocols for performance of body radiosurgery using the CyberKnife®, treating prostate cancer and spinal tumors.  

Areas of expertise include gynecologic cancer, head and neck cancer and stereotactic radiosurgery.
