Rex Hoffman, M.D.

Dr. Rex Hoffman joined Valley Radiotherapy Associates Medical Group in 2001.  He is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist serving as Medical Director at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of California, San Diego and completed his medical degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Dr. Hoffman completed his Internship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, before heading to the University of California, San Francisco for a Residency in Radiation Oncology.

During his four years at the University of California, San Francisco, he co-authored an article on Managing Lung Cancer Brain Metastases with Radiosurgery as well as papers on the management of nasopharyngeal, anal, penile and urethral cancer.
Dr. Hoffman’s interests include the management of brain tumors, with conventional external beam radiation therapy and radiosurgery.  He has first-hand experience in treating patients with Gamma Knife®, CyberKnife® and linac-based radiosurgery. His other areas of interest include head and neck, skin, breast, lung and gastro-intestinal cancers.
